Is anyone going to the Jalopnik Beers and Car Talk thing?

Was drinking and signed up for it the other night. It was an RSVP thing so I figured that I’d actually show up.

i limit myself to 1 long road trip a year, last year was chicago to arkansas and back in a 2 day span, this year is driving chicago to the outer banks in june for a week and back. so no room for chicago to new york for a day lol

My school is only 13 miles from the NYC, just going to hop on the train after class! And goddamn Chicago to NC? How long is that going to take?

I live close enough that it’s tempting, but it’s still a decent drive. I’m about 2 hours from Manhattan and I work until 5:30.

Yeah, 2 hours is too far. I’m just hopping on the train after school. It takes like a half hour to get in from here.

I’m in Allentown PA. It’s a solid 2 hours to get to the Holland tunnel, and then I’d still have to get to the actual bar and find parking.

bout 16 hours, my parents, sister and i used to do the drive in two days but since my wife and i dont plan on spending extra money on a hotel for a night we are doing it straight through, leaving illinois around midnight will get us to our rental property right at the check in time lol

honestly it wont be bad having a second person with me, chicago to arkansas sucked cause its ten hours each way and i literally drove down there with my mom, dropped her off at my aunts house, then turned right around and headed back to illinois. 20 hours of driving in 24 hours

R.I.P. Croc Rock. I was so sad when they knocked down that whole building last year. Apparently they lost their liquor license a few years ago and struggled to stay in business after that. Iwent to my first ever concert there when I was middle school. I saw a lot of good shows there.
